On the first Saturday of each month, Paws and Claws will hand out a limited number of certificates. The certificates are provided on a first come, first serve basis. The number of certificates available will depend on the amount of funds available.

No. The Artesia Animal Shelter requires a $25.00 deposit as a promise to have the animal sterilized. You may reclaim your deposit if you have your animal spayed or neutered within 30 days of adoption.

Partially. When animals arrive at the shelter, they receive vaccines for parvo, kennel cough, worms, and distemper. Rabies vaccination is the responsibility of the owner or new owner of the animal.
