The Grand Street waterline project moved into its next phase on July 21st.
Phase two of the project will focus on Grand Street from 20th-26th. The portion of Grand from 13th-20th that was being worked on in phase one is now fully open in both directions.
In phase two, only the westbound lane of Grand will be open from 20th-26th. The eastbound lane in this stretch will be closed. Due to the work on 26th street, the left turn lane from westbound Grand onto southbound 26th will be closed. The right turn lane from westbound Grand onto northbound 26th will be open.
Phase two of the project is expected to last until the end of September. This timeline is subject to change based on weather and other factors.
As a reminder, this project is replacing water pipes under the road to help with water reliability throughout town. The work was originally scheduled to take place in the next few years, but increasingly severe leaks in the pipes pushed the urgency of the project. We apologize for the inconvenience this causes.
