Today, Mayor Henry proclaims the 11th of February 2024 as 2-1-1 Day in recognition of the United Way of Eddy County's 2-1-1 program. The program is invaluable in it's work in connecting community members to critical available resources and offers direct assistance with gas, water, and electrical bills as well as access to resources such as food pantries, prescription medicine, veteran support, mental health support, clothing and much more.
In the proclamation, Mayor Henry encourages all citizens of Artesia to recognize the importance of nonprofit organizations and spread awareness of the critical resources and aid available to the citizens of Artesia and residents of Eddy County made available through the United Way of Eddy County's 2-1-1 program.
